Austin's 5th Birthday cont.....

David, Sammie,Lilly,Austin,Kennedy,Lucy

This party is the last of the birthday celebration which was actually on May 11. I wanted to wait till my ankle had healed and I was walking better before entertaining 7 kids ages 4 to 6. We debated if we should put the slide up because of the cool weather but decided kids love water, it doesnt matter that they are turning purple because of being cold. They were in for about 1 hour and loved it. They did take a break for the pinata. They were so funny because Ithought they would scurry to grab candy from the pinata but they were all very careful at getting the candy and it took them forever to pick it all up. Austin had a good time and was happy to see all his friends from school again.

Quote for the Day!!

Austin: Mom, you are such a good driver. I think you should be a race car driver when you grow up.

Gracie: Austin, get real. Mom is grown up, she has already lived more than half her life.

At first I thought this was funny, Gracie being wrong of course. I said to her, "wow, you don't expect me to live very long." Then I started doing the math. Not so funny anymore.

Kids say the funniest things. : )

Beautiful Sunsets

Gracie noticed the sunset on this beautiful night and asked if she could take some pictures. She went out with my camera and came in with some beautiful shots. Then of course I had to take their picture.

Austin's 5th Birthday

I really only wanted to take a pic of him in those boots, then everyone else joined in. It was cute.

Kylie and Austin

What a day! When Austin woke up this morning Joe and Gracie had already left for a field trip. Joe and I had hung streamer the night before so he would be suprised when he got up. He was surprised and happy to be 5. I then spent the day with him at school, played with him and his friends and just had fun. That evening we went to his restaurant of choice Buffalo Wild Wings and celebrated with Papa and Nanny Keller, Nate, Julie and Kylie. We took cupcakes for the kids and sang to him at the table. When we got home he opened presents from Dad and Mom and Gracie. He was very tired that night but didnt want to go to bed because he didnt want it to be over. The next morning I asked if he slept good and he said "I didnt go to sleep last night, I was just resting. It is still my birthday." We will celebrate again this weekend with my family, and in a couple weeks with school friends.

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful mothers day!! My kids make it special always, I love spending time with them. This year Gracie took her own money and went to an area garage sale and found me a basket w/ flowers, and at school she made a heart plaque. Austin made me a card, a butterfly magnet of himself, and if that was not enough wrapped up 3 of his toys in christmas paper and presented them to me, wasnt that sweet. I LOVE, LOVE LOVE, them sooooo much.

Fun with Redi-whip

Daddy has them stuck on Redi whip. This was the highlight of their day. They were so excited. I guess that proves its the little things in life that make us truly happy.
