Soccer Game Part 2

Kicking the ball

Running for the ball

Getting in on the action

Kicking it from the sideline

Receiving his "white star" for "Christ like"

He played better this weekend. It wasn't as hot and he had a better night's sleep. They color code the goals with the color of their jerseys so they know what goal to kick to. (blue or grey) He received the white star because he helped one of his fellow teammates up after being pushed to the ground. They all love getting to see what color of star they are going to get. They get the hugest smile and are so proud.

Makin' Biscuits

Austin is always ready to bake. Unfortunatly his mother is not a very good baker, I need to teach him how to cook. He loves measuring out the ingredients, and rolling out the dough. Check out my wonderful biscuit cutter. (the orange cup). He thought I was silly when I put flour on our faces. I told him that way others knew we were hard at work, or just messy.

Cinnamon at the Lake

Cinnamon and Ginger, the friend she made at the lake

This was Cinnamon's first time with us at the lake. She wasn't sure what to do on the boat she kept trying to put her paw out. We really was not sure if she would even like the water, because she hates it when the kids spray her with the hose and she will not get in the little pool we have for her. The 3rd picture is of her first steps in the water. The people who parked their boat next to ours had this life jacket for her to try. We thought maybe she would not be as afraid. The 4th picture is her doggie paddling back to shore very quickly. She did not like being where she couldn't touch. (just like a child : ) ) I dont know if we will take her again or not. Joe says "no". He didnt like cleaning up all the dog hair in the boat.

Austin's first Soccer Game

My little bench warmer

Getting in on part of the action (he has his foot on the ball)

Receiving his "blue star" for "effort"

He really seems to like soccer the first half, after that he keeps asking for drinks and saying he is tired. It was very hot this day. This is his first time playing anything so we were not sure how it would go. They are so cute to watch. If someone takes the ball from him, he just moves out of their way. We tried to tell him to not let them take it. We will see what happens next week.

Austin on the Jet Ski

Austin, Uncle Sean and Aunt Shell

Austin rode on the jet ski this past weekend with my sister and brother - in - law. He loved it. I see a new toy in our distant future.

First Day of School 4th Grade

Gracie's 1st day of pre-school
Gracie's 2nd day of 4th grade

Where did the time go? I know I hear people say that all the time and now I know why. Soooooo many changes in 6 years. WOW! Austin will start school on Sept. 3rd and have Gracie's same pre-school teacher.

Little Hoosiers

The 2nd day of school and Gracie brings home a project already. It was an easy one and we did a little everyday so it didnt seem to bad. It was to be all about her so there was no research to do. Finally, something we knew all the answers to. She really seems to like school this year, her teacher is pretty organized and that is soooo not Gracie but maybe it will be good for her.

Cinnamon

Just a new picture of our pup. She is now officially trained to stay in the yard. Joe and I about 2 months ago put in an inground fence. With the month of training required she now stays in the yard. She was shocked twice during training, we couldnt handle the thought of shocking our dog on purpose so we took the metal stems out of the collar and stuck the plastic ones back on and she has no idea. She just thinks that when she hears the beep she will soon be shocked if she goes any further so she sits. I will let her out when Gracie goes to the bus stop and she will just sit and watch her get on the bus. Even when other dogs or people go by she stays in the yard. Yea!!!
Now if anyone knows how to get her to not jump on people or dig in my yard, please let me know. : )

Gracie - a little hesitant
Gracie - She did it
Austin, Gracie, Laura, David

Right before school started for Gracie we decided to have one last outing to the pool. We went with some friends of ours. This was Gracie's first time on the diving board. She wasn't quite sure she could do it, but with a little coaxing she took the plunge. She also liked the water slide. Austin and David just played in the shallow water.

Trading Places

Sunday was a lazy day. Joe and I didnt feel like doing what we needed to do. He needed to mow the yard and I had lots of laundry to catch up on. He wanted to stay inside and relax, watch the race, etc. and I being home all week wanted to get out. So we decided to trade places, I told him I would mow the yard if he would do my laundry. That worked out pretty well. After the yard was mowed I went out on the waterslide with the kids. It was very refreshing and fun.

Sunday Evening

Kylie opening her B-day present
Zac and Aunt Angie
The Keller Side Grandchildren
(Gracie, Myka, Leah, Kylie, Zac, and Austin)
Sunday evening we went to Nate and Julie's for Kylie's 3rd B-day party. While we were there, these are some pictures taken by Ma Keller. (mom in law)

Sunday at Webster Lake

Austin and Gracie in tube
Michelle and Angie (screaming)

Austin in the clouds
Monkey (my brother Micheal) and Gracie
Gracie just done tubing
We went to the lake with Sean, Michelle and Michael. Gracie asked if she could be tossed from the tube, usually Joe takes it easy on her. This time she was begging to be thrown out. I said to Joe "Ok, try to toss her out but be careful" So he was a little more aggressive and ended up tossing her out of the tube 3 different times. She loved it. It was hard to watch at first because she is so far away from me. After the first time she came up from the water and put her hands above her head and yelled "Whooooo!" She loves the adrenaline rush, she gets that from her father.

Fun Weekend at Pokagon

What a great weekend we had. My sister - in - law and her family came up from South Carolina, and we had extended family come from Michigan. Ma and Pa Keller planned an outing for everyone at Pokagon Park. They found a nice place by the playground with lots of shade. We had taco salad and lots of desserts. Later in the afternoon, Joe and I took those who wanted to go out on the boat and pulled them on the tube. The kids had a BLAST! There were 10 kids total and all but 2 kids (babies) went on the tube. Some of the parents also joined their children. The kids had such a good time they didn't even care there was a storm coming, they just wanted to go again and again. We finally had to go because it started raining. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the day. We had a GREAT time!

Webster Lake

Austin finally had his cast taken off on Thursday, so we wasted no time, to the lake we went. This was our first outing on our boat and I forgot my camera. Thank goodness Joe always has his cell. You can't really see much, but this was Austin's first experience with tubing so I had to have Joe take a picture. He looks so far away, but he was smiling the whole time.
Joe wanted to tube this time also, so I drove the boat for the first time while he tubed. It was quite the experience for both of us. Sorry no picture of that. : )
